The dragon chases the flaming pearl in the eternal pursuit of “wisdom, knowledge, and perpetual changes (and the potential that goes with them).” Inspired by my trip to the Mogao caves this past October ‘24 and the motif of the flame halothat persists in Buddhist art as a symbol of enlightenment, wisdom, and compassion.

Acrylic mirror with sterling silver findings on silver flame colorways and gold-filled findings on gold flame colorways. Earring measures about 2” wide and 3.25” long with hook.
